Quick-Release (Q-R) fasteners enable rapid connection and disconnection of components without tools, using mechanisms like quarter-turns, push-buttons, or cams. Quick-Release fasteners are innovative joint solutions for today's modern industry. Their uses span from machine tools and mechanical, medical, electrical, and solar applications to those in aerospace and automotive industries, rail cars, construction machinery, electronics, and others. For example, they are ideal for frequently serviced panels in aerospace, automotive, and electronics, providing required clamping force. Different types of these fasteners include:
Quarter-Turn Fasteners: secure with a 90-degree twist, commonly used in automotive and aerospace for securing panels.
Push-Button/Pip Pins: a pin inserted into a hole, held in place by spring-loaded balls that release with a button press.
Captive Fasteners: remain attached to the panel when loosened to prevent loss, ideal for electronic enclosures.
One-Touch/Push-Turn Fasteners: allow immediate, tool-less engagement and disengagement.
Clevis Pins: Non-threaded pins secured by cotter pins, used in machinery.

They are offered in different brands by their respective manufacturers such as Camloc®  by Howmet® Aerospace Inc. (Howmet® Fastening Systems, HFS), Dzus®  by Southco, Inc., Quickloc® by Böllhoff Group, and others. They are separately listed in our Web Platform for Supplies. A brief presentation of their product lines is provided below.

HFS Camloc® Quick Release Fasteners

(Howmet® Fastening Systems, HFS), formerly Arconic Inc., develops & manufactures high performance, engineered products & solutions for the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, commercial transportation and oil and gas markets. HFS product range under different brands offers the greatest breadth and depth of fastening solutions available including self-locking nuts, quick-release fasteners, draw latches, threaded inserts, lock-bolts, and structural blind fasteners.

Camloc®, an HFS  brand, is widely known for their Quick Release Fasteners, offering one of the most comprehensive range of fastener styles and sizes in the market. Camloc® 1/4-turn, push-turn & push-push Quick Release Fasteners are safe and easy to use providing a vibration resistant joining solution for quick and repetitive attachment and removal of panels with minimum effort, saving time and reducing costs. They come in different series outlined below.
2600/2700 Series - General purpose small fasteners with widest selection of hand and tool-operated studs and receptacles. Those of 2600 Series fasteners feature a max. tensile strength of 1.330 N, & a working load of 900 N, flush head styles and solid compared to the split retaining rings of their 2700 Series counterparts.
5F Series - Low-cost, high-speed installation fasteners with tool-operated snap-in studs and spring-loaded receptacles. Plastic washer stud assemblies protect decorative surfaces.
15F Series - They can be installed to provide either push button or push panel operation. Easy installation of externally threaded nut-retained receptacle. Push-to-open, push-to-close operation.
50F Series - Mid-size fasteners with snap-in stud & clip-on or snap-in receptacles. Stud assemblies incorporate plastic washers to protect decorative surfaces. Offered in a wide variety of head styles  and tool- and hand-operated studs. Available for general purpose (50F 900N) or extra heavy-duty (50F 3700N) uses.
D4002 Series - Heavy-duty fasteners with a wide choice of receptacles and studs as well as fixed and floating receptacle options. These fasteners use a variety of grommets designed to reinforce the panel for added strength.
99F Series - Fasteners with an increased grip range of 1.5mm, encapsulated  splash resistant design, and externally threaded receptacles for use in castings or on panels with a retaining nut.
715F/716F Series - These fasteners are suitable for automatic installation with an easy and economic clip-on installation for studs & receptacles. They open and close by 1/4-turn push of the finger. Due to their small size, they are suited for use in electrical engineering and electronics. 715F Series comes with a tensile capability of 700 N max & 600 N working load. 716F Series has tensile capability of 1,400 N max and a 1,200 N working load.
717F Series - High strength push turn fasteners featuring a robust design, max tensile strength 3,000 N, and a working load of 2,500 N. The spring receptacles can either be rivet or screw mounted for easily installation.
PT-10 Series - Fasteners with increased grip range of 3.0mm, fast and easy installation of stud & washer and snap-in spring receptacle. They open and close by 1/4-turn push of the finger.
